CALL OF DUTY 4 4v4 TOURNAMENT RULES

Please read and understand both the CSL General Rules and the Call of Duty 4 4v4 Rules listed below:

1. General Information:

1.1. The tournament will follow a double elimination knockout format, whereby a loss will demote your team to the lower bracket. A further loss in the lower bracket will result in your teams elimination from the tournament.
1.2. Teams will be required to play 1 game per week in the upper bracket, and upto 2 games per week in the lower bracket.
1.3. Default times per round will be stated by CSL Admin in the match details.
1.4. Teams may agree to play at a mutually convenient time. The agreed date and time must be before the fixture deadline and confirmed by both teams in the match details.
1.5. If teams are unable to agree a mutually convenient time then the fixture must be played at the default time. Any team who do not show at this time will be deemed to have forfeit the fixture (please refer to match arrangement rules).
1.6. Fixture deadlines will not be extended to any teams at any stage of the tournament. If you are unable to play within the fixture windows stated by CSL Admin then your team will either forfeit or be disqualified.
1.7. Consoles.net requests that all teams follow a sporting code of conduct. Please abide by the rules and show respect to both your opponents and CSL Admins.

2. Rosters and Substitutes:

2.1. All players must be registered on Consoles.net and resident in Europe to enter.
2.2. All players must have correct Xbox Live gamertags registered in their profiles. If you change your gamertag please update your profile before playing to avoid disputes.
2.3. Any team found fielding non-registered players is in breach of Consoles.net rules and will subsequently forfeit. It is the responsibility of each team to ensure opponents play with registered team mates. Please supply clear evidence to prove any use of illegal players.
2.4. If both teams agree to allow the use of an unregistered player, then full details must be confirmed by both teams in the match details before the game is played. CSL Admin will treat any dispute as the use of an illegal player unless details are clearly stated.
2.5. Each team must nominate one player to be team captain. It is the responsibility of the team captain to communicate with other teams and CSL Admin, arrange fixtures within the deadlines provided and report results accordingly. Failure to arrange a match or report results within the deadlines may result in forfeit or disqualification.
2.6. Substitutions can only be made in the pre-game lobby and not whilst a game is in progress. The only exception to this rule is if a player disconnects from an objective gametype and is unable to rejoin then that player may be replaced by another registered member of the squad.
2.7. Transferring of players between teams is not permitted once the tournament has started.
2.8. Teams may recruit new players but may not recruit a player who has played for another team in the tournament.

3. Fixtures:

3.1. Each fixture will consist of a best of 3 gametype series.
3.2. Gametypes and maps per round will be stated by CSL Admin.
3.3. Each gametype must be played twice (once on each teams host).
3.4. Teams must play one round as OpFor/Spetsnaz and one round as Marines/S.A.S.
3.5. Scores from each round must be added to determine the winner of the gametype.
3.6. If teams are tied after the 3 gametypes have been played, then any gametype which resulted in a draw must be replayed.
3.7. If the teams meeting in the final have not yet played each other and the team coming from the losers bracket wins the game, then the Winners Bracket Final maps will be played to determine the result of the game since both teams would have only lost once. The team without a loss will choose to have higher seed host privileges for the Finals or Winners Bracket Finals set of maps prior to the start of the game.
3.8. If teams meeting in the final have previously met then the matches will expand to a best of 7 game series.

4. Game Settings:

4.1. It is the responsibility of the host team to ensure the game settings are correct. If any of the game settings are incorrect then the host team forfeits that round. The non-host team must submit clear evidence that the host team used incorrect settings.

* please note: Set Score Limit to 4 points and first team to win 2 rounds wins the map. Host to end game when a team reaches 2 points.

5. Perks and Weapon Restrictions:

5.1. Perks:
All players must assign the following perks to their custom classes:

Perk 1: Bomb Squad
Perk 2: Stopping Power
Perk 3: Dead Silence or Extreme Conditioning


5.2. Weapon Restrictions:
The following weapons are banned from use:

SMG: P90
Attachment: Grenade Launcher
Special Grenade: Stun
Mounted Machine Gun (MMG)

5.3. Any player found to have used banned weapons or illegal perks will result in a default loss for your team on that gametype. Evidence must be provided.

7. Match Arrangements:

7.1. Fixtures must be played at either the time agreed by both teams in the match details or at the default time stated by CSL Admin.
7.2. The higher ranked team (as per team number in bracket) must set up a lobby using the game settings and maps selected by CSL admin, then invite the other team captain to join (please ensure you have sufficient room on your friends list to add/receive friend requests from your opponent).
7.3. After the maps hosted by the home team have been played, the away team must set up a lobby using the above settings and maps selected by CSL Admin, then invite the other team captain to join.
7.4. If as the higher ranked team, there is no response from your opponent for upto 20 minutes after the scheduled start time then the game will be declared a "no show". A default win will be awarded and you will progress to the next round.
7.5. If as the lower team, you do not receive a friend request or game invite by the scheduled start time then you must firstly add your opponent to your friends list, and if after 20 minutes there has been no response then the game will declared a "no show". A default win will be awarded and you will progress to the next round.

8. Hosting and Connections:

8.1. Teams are requested to ensure the player with the best connection on their team hosts the lobby.
8.2. A 3 minute lag test should be completed prior to the start of the game series. If any player falls below 3 bars (ie yellow) then an alternative host should be found.
8.3. Please ensure there is no other internet equipment active in your household and there is no one downloading using the same connection whilst you are playing.
8.4. The game lobby must be set to invite only.
8.5. If a player or host disconnects during the initial launch of a game or prior to the first kill, then the game will be restarted.
8.6. If a player disconnects during the game or after the first kill in an objective gametype, then the game will continue and player who disconnected or an alternative squad member may be invited to rejoin the game.
8.7. If a player disconnects during the game or after the first kill in a kill-dependant gametype (ie team slayer), then the team forfeits that game.
8.8. If the host disconnects whilst the game is in progress or after the first kill then the host team forfeits that game.

9. Glitches and Cheats:

1. The use of any illegal glitches is strictly prohibited.
2. No leaving the normal boundaries of a Map.
3. No going into the tunnel walls on Pipeline.
4. No going on top of the arch on District.
5. No going onto Invisible Ledges.
6. No jumping off of another Character.
7. No faking the prone position.
8. If you suspect a team to have used a glitch, cheats or abusive behaviour, you must submit clear evidence in the match details and the appropriate action will be taken.

10. Results and Protests:

10.1. Results must be submitted and confirmed by both teams in the match details within 1 hour of completing the fixture.
10.2. It is the responsibility of both teams to ensure the correct result of the fixture has been submitted.
10.3. Please submit your results as the total number of gametypes won by each team in the fixture (ie 2-1 or 2-0).
10.4. Please post the scores for each game played as comments in the match details.
10.5. All teams are advised to acquire clear proof of results for all games played in case of dispute.
10.6. If there is a dispute over the result of the fixture then teams must submit a Match Protest including clear supporting evidence.
10.7. Results from this tournament will be used to seed forthcoming CSL tournaments.

11. Prizes:

Prizes per team will be awarded as follows:

1st: €400
2nd: €200
3rd: €100 worth of hardware provided by Bigben Interactive.
